Has anyone removed the centre roof plastic (that holds the 2 lights and SOS button?
I'm hoping there maybe a switched 12v feed in there as running a cable across the roof and down the screen looks to be a task and a half.
Fitting dashcam
I've tried to remove the panels when I fitted my dashcam but aborted on the basis they seem reluctant to move. I've run the cables inside the panel gap between the two sections of the mirror / assembly where they're mostly hidden and then tucked them behind the rooflining, across and behind the A pillar trim panel then down behind the door seal to the lower dash. It's not difficult to do but requires some care and I'd recommend getting some panel removers before attempting to remove the trim. I've learned from previous experience that screwdrivers and trim panels don't mix !
Did you tap into the fuse for the cigarette lighter?
If so what type of fuse is it so I can get the right fuse tap adaptor.

I've bought x2 Nextbase bundles, including hardware kits, one for the Megane & one for my Wife's CH-R. I've now ordered micro 2 tap cables (amazon is my friend here). At least the fuse box in the Megane is in the cabin. I've confirmed the 12v socket fuse - Renault still lable it as a cigarette lighter fuse (how quaint!) The CH-R will require more work as I'll have to find a grommet through to the cabin, or just use the supplied 12v plug.
Nextbase in their blurb do say the mini tap cable will fit the micro2 and this may be the case in other cars but not the Megane as the fuse box plastic moulding stops that.

Also from my own experience, Nextbase will send you the correct fuse tap FOC seen as you have purchased their kit.
Be good to see your final installation.

Well that was easy. Temporary fitting using the 12v outlet cable while I wait on the micro 2 tap cable to arrive. I've installed a Nextbase 320XR front/rear set. Both cameras attach to mounts with strong magnets.
The power cable. The ferrite is slightly annoying but it's hidden with the tolltag fitted.
Power cable down to fuse box. Excess hidden here.
Power outlet
Power cable & rear camera cable, twisted to stop Ferrite from hitting off anything.

I have used the micro 2 adapter and routed the cable to the mirror.
The camera has a parking Mode cable that will check the power setting.

Which one is the tap for the parking mode (always ON)? The one attached to the multimedia fuse?
Thanks
