New member here,
Hi Everyone,
Have had the new etech for 3 months and the alarm randomly goes off, painfully loud, reason on the dashboard shows « outside noise » I have booked it in for repair but what I’d like to know is this, whilst it’s going off is there a way I can turn it off..?

Common issue amongst us Megane Owners, luckily not experienced it though.
The below should help you out until it's hopefully fixed.

Visited dealership this morning and have been told that Renault are manufacturing a new alarm unit for the Megane to fix the problem. Mine ordered but may be a while as so many others queued for a fix!
I'll let you know what happens 😌

Mine went in on Friday to look at the very same issue and apparently the alarm hadn't been wired in correctly. Not hand any false alarm incidents since and fingers crossed it stays that way!

I find mine was linked to temperature. On very cold days, when I approach the car while holding the key card - it used to go off. Doesn't seem to happen when temp above 5C or so. Only a theory for now :-)
